Cinnamon Rolls

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface.
  8. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle evenly over the buttered dough. Add raisins and nuts if desired.
  9. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and slice into 12 rolls.
  10. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
P.S: For extra fluffy rolls, let the dough rise twice! You can also drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and milk for a sweet finish.
